Our art room is located just off "The Park" in one of the new classrooms constructed last year...thank you to all our Just Ask donors for making this possible!
Art includes:
Turkish Tulips: drawing, radial symmetry & pastels ~ principles in art of unity & balance. God's creation communicates His truth and love to man.
Asian Art (Russian nesting dolls): step drawing & craft ~ principles in art of unity & scale. God created man with the ability to produce and appreciate beauty.
Vietnamese Lanterns: drawing, cutting & assembly ~ principles in art of balance. Jesus is the light of the world!
Asian Architecture (Ziggurat of Ur): step drawing with pencil ~ principles in art of focal point, balance & proportion. Discernment...does this please God?
Asian Animals (bar-headed goose, masque monkey & puffer fish): pencil, colored pencil & flicking strokes ~ principle in art of scale. God's creations offer both enjoyment and instruction.
City Scape (Tokyo): marker & colored pencil ~ principles in art of unity, perspective & balance. God created man with the ability to produce and appreciate beauty.
Japanese Gyotaku & Hokusai (inspired relief prints): tempera paint, fish form, etching on foam ~ principles of art in balance & focal point. Integrity is important to God.
